“UMBC students who are eligible to remain in the United States under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are ineligible for federal, state and institutional financial aid (merit scholarships are an exception). If you require financial assistance, please visit our International Students page for suggestions on how to cover your educational expenses while attending UMBC.
Students may also find the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Tip Sheet helpful in answering some general questions regarding the financial aid eligibility for undocumented and deferred action students. A Q&A Sheet entitled Financial Aid and Undocumented Students has also been released by the Department of Education to provide additional guidance.”
